What can a musculoskeletal ultrasound detect?
It can detect a variety of chronic conditions and injuries, including carpal tunnel syndrome, joint problems, tendonitis, bursitis (inflammation of bursae, or sacks that cushion bones), and cysts or tumors.
What is the advantage of a musculoskeletal ultrasound?
It shows the anatomy of a person’s body as they move, giving greater control in following and identifying the exact area of concern. Being able to focus on the arteries and veins is also beneficial in detecting musculoskeletal conditions and injuries.
